5TH & Cupcakes

Started Saturday morning off at BCD Tofu House in Cerritos. I’ve never been so full for a full day after just one meal before. The food was very good and the free coffee just hits the spot after a hefty meal. Christine had an appointment afterwards with Kui’s mother and sister so the girls went out on their little ‘shindig’ while Kuizzy, Adam, and myself headed out to Koreatown to gander at The HUNDREDS exhibit at the Foreign Family art gallery. It’s amazing to see how far the Hundreds have come along within the last five years and they remain to be one of my biggest inspirations. I highly recommend everyone to go see the gallery for yourselves. There are stories written on the walls that make for very interesting reads and the vintage shirts (re-released) bring back a lot of old memories of when I first started hopping on their blog years ago.

Afterwards, we headed out to the Johnny Cupcakes Grand Opening on Melrose Ave. We were the very last people in line and we made it well worth it. Met a good amount of new people and the entire staff were friendly. The shop is an experience on its own and no pictures or words could describe it. You HAVE to pay them a visit. Unfortunately for us, our camera was drained out of battery life so we couldn’t take all the pictures we wanted to. If you want to relive the experience you missed out on, head on over the Bobby Hundred’s blog on it. We did manage to pull off a nice little picture of Johnny Cupcakes X ‘DreamCatcher’ tee.

This was a VERY long blog but it was an even longer day. I was BEAT but satisfied. A gajillion thanks to Kuizzy and Christine for uploading all of the pictures.
