Let Me Work It

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve done nothing but drink coffee and WORK. WORK. WORK. I’m a bit behind schedule so this whole week was devoted to getting back on track MEANING three-hour sleep per day and countless hours on either Illustrator or pen-and-paper. We have our Fall/Winter collection in production now but there were a billion changes I had to make before we green-lighted the project, hence the reason why there’s the slowdown.
Last week, I paid Kui a visit at his place in Lakeside and we all headed out to some random party his sister invited us to. The end result was pretty not good but we had one helluva business meeting and I guess I can’t say all was a waste.
We headed back down to LA and dropped in on an art exhibit @ LaBasse out in Culver City. This was a collaborative project hosted by a number of different artists. The place was so packed, I didn’t get to acquaint myself with any of the artists. The fact that we didn’t get to the event until thirty-minutes before closing didn’t help much either but we did get to see some amazing paintings, sketches, and toys.

Believe it or not, this was the most exciting thing I saw in San Diego. REALLY.

And this has been my whole week so far…

I have been so busy that I’ve just realized my whole diet this week consisted of a million packets of instant-coffee mixes and boiled eggs.

I took this picture earlier when I was taking a break from the computer. It’s actually 5:46AM right now. UGH!

I guess a little sneak-peek wouldn’t hurt anyone, right?

So there goes. Nothing too exciting this time around, but watch out for the tee-shirts dropping really soon. The work is very hard and strenuous but once the shirts are released, it’ll all be very well worth the extra time and effort. We’ve revamped the brand and the quality and attention-to-detail that goes into each piece is just insane. Until then, I’m going back to the lab again. This blog post was just my little break-time distraction from going back for more coffee.
